LPN – Chatham Youth Development Center

Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at a youth development center in Siler City!

This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.

Details:

• Location: Siler City, NC
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:30am-8pm
• Employment Type: Contract (13 week contract with possibility to renew)

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Licensed Practical Nurse (RN) license (in good standing) or multi-state license
• Ability to pass a strict background check

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct health assessments of inmates both upon entry and ongoing to develop and implement healthcare plans
• Coordinate healthcare services with other members of the correctional health team
• Provide ongoing care and management for inmates with chronic illnesses
• Educate inmates on self-care and lifestyle modifications
• Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility
• Assess and address mental health issues among inmates
• Provide health education to inmates on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each inmate
• Work closely with correctional officers and security staff to ensure the safety of both healthcare providers and inmates
• Advocate for the healthcare needs and rights of inmates
