Adapted Physical Education Teacher – Full Time – Immediate Start | School Based

Overview:

• In-person
• Carlsbad
• M-F 8am-4pm
• $45-$55 per hour
• ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Provide Adapted Physical Education (APE) services to special education students (ranging from mild to severe cases)
• Adherence to each student’s individualized educational plan (IEP)
• Calm, clear, and concise communication with both children and adults
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
• Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds)

Qualifications:

• Valid California K-12 teaching credential with authorization in Adapted Physical Education (APE) or enrolled in an Adapted Physical Education Credential Program
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with physically disabled students
• Ability to drive to different school sites each day
