Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Portales!
This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.
Schedule: 3 shifts per week (Wed-Friday: Day Shift) or (Thu-Sat: Night Shift)
Both schedules are open to either RN or LVN!
Details:
Location: Portales, NM
Schedule: at least 3 days/week, 12-hour shifts
Must be available on weekends
Employment Type: Contract
Pay: higher pay for travelers who are 50 or more miles away from the facility!
Qualifications:
Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license (in good standing) or compact license
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
Ability to pass a strict background check
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
Monitor and document patients’ health status and respond to medical emergencies
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
Educate patients on health conditions, medication adherence, and preventive care
Assist with wound care, IV therapy, and chronic disease management
Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
Supervise and support LVNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility guidelines
