Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Sitter to join our healthcare team at a juvenile detention center!
This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.
Details:
Location: Butner, NC
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm, 3pm-11:30pm, or 11pm-7:30am
Employment Type: 4 week Contract with possibility of extension
Qualifications:
Active North Carolina CNA certification (in good standing)
Ability to pass a strict background check
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct health assessments of inmates both upon entry and ongoing to develop and implement healthcare plans
Coordinate healthcare services with other members of the correctional health team
Provide ongoing care and management for inmates with chronic illnesses
Educate inmates on self-care and lifestyle modifications
Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility
Assess and address mental health issues among inmates
Provide health education to inmates on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each inmate
Work closely with correctional officers and security staff to ensure the safety of both healthcare providers and inmates
Advocate for the healthcare needs and rights of inmates
