Skills Provided During Training For Hired LVN’s and RN's:
Seizure Disorders, Diastat, Insulin Injections And Pumps, G-tube Feeding
Tracheostomy Training
Type I Diabetic Management
Providing Medication To Students And Structuring Care Plans
Knowledge On Behavioral Health Issues And Handling Corresponding Care
Responsibilities:
Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, gtube, seizure disorder, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents.
Monitor and manage immunization records to ensure compliance with state regulations
Maintain accurate and confidential health records
Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds)
Qualifications:
CA state nursing license
BLS certification
Current negative TB result
