Overview:

  • In-person
  • Alameda County or Contra Costa County
  • M-F 8am - 3pm
  • $36/hr
  • ASAP Start

Physical Setting:

  • Classroom / Health Office

Skills Provided During Training For Hired LVN’s and RN's:

  • Seizure Disorders, Diastat, Insulin Injections And Pumps, G-tube Feeding
  • Tracheostomy Training
  • Type I Diabetic Management
  • Providing Medication To Students And Structuring Care Plans
  • Knowledge On Behavioral Health Issues And Handling Corresponding Care


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, gtube, seizure disorder, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents.
  • Monitor and manage immunization records to ensure compliance with state regulations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records
  • Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
  • Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds)


Qualifications:

  • CA state nursing license
  • BLS certification
  • Current negative TB result
