Overview:
- In-person
- Soledad, CA
- Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess inmates' physical abilities, limitations, and needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments, medical records, and referrals.
- Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve inmates' mobility, strength, and function.
- Educate inmates on proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and rehabilitation exercises.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, correctional staff, and outside providers to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment.
- Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and outcomes in inmates' medical records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and security measures within the correctional facility.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss inmate care and rehabilitation goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with inmates and staff.
Qualifications:
- 12 months of PT experience in the last 3 years
- Valid CPR/BLS Card from the American Heart Association
- Proof of negative TB test within the past year
- Physical exam results from the last year
- Up-to–date immunization records
- Ability to pass a background check
