Overview:
In-person
Corcoran, CA
Monday - Friday
8am-4:30pm
Responsibilities:
Conduct nutritional assessments of inmates to determine dietary needs and restrictions
Develop personalized meal plans for inmates based on their health conditions, dietary requirements, and preferences
Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance with dietary guidelines and regulations
Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and modify menus to meet nutritional standards
Provide nutrition education and counseling to inmates on topics such as healthy eating habits, disease management, and weight management
Evaluate food quality, portion sizes, and meal presentation to ensure adherence to nutritional guidelines
Review and analyze inmate medical records to assess nutritional risks and develop appropriate interventions
Work closely with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to coordinate care for inmates with special dietary needs or medical conditions
Stay updated on the latest research and developments in nutrition and dietetics to provide evidence-based recommendations
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to nutritional assessments, interventions, and outcomes for each inmate.
Qualifications:
Valid RD License
Valid CPR/BLS Card from the American Heart Association
Proof of negative TB test within the past year
Up-to–date immunization records
Ability to pass a background check
