Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at a California State Prison!
This position plays a vital role in assessing and managing the nutritional needs of incarcerated individuals, ensuring compliance with state regulations and CDCR guidelines while promoting overall health and well-being. Details:
Location: Stockton, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
Higher Pay for Travelers: Additional compensation for those commuting 50+ miles from the facility
Employment Type: Contract
Qualifications:
Active Registered Dietitian (RD) license in the state of California
At least 1 year of experience as a Dietitian
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
Ability to pass a strict background check
Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, meal planning, and dietary modifications
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess the nutritional needs of incarcerated individuals based on medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and facility guidelines
Develop and implement individualized meal plans and therapeutic diets in compliance with CDCR regulations
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions, making adjustments as needed
Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity
Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients, staff, and facility administrators
Ensure compliance with state and federal dietary regulations, including food safety standards
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with CDCR policies
Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare meetings to enhance patient care outcomes
