Overview:
In-person
Locations: Lemon Grove
Caseload: TBD
Schedule: M-F 7:30 AM - 3:30PM
Compensation: $47-$55 (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
Teaching SEL (Social Emotional Learning Lessons) in the classroom
Provide direct and indirect social work services in accordance with IEPs
Deliver individual and group support to improve students’ social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
Provide support with conflicts that might require restorative conversation
Partner with teachers, families, and community resources to support student success
Serve as liaison to social services, probation, and local agencies
Support behavioral management strategies and help staff adapt instruction based on student needs
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social Work (Required)
Valid CA Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work Endorsement (Required)
LSW or school social work certification (Required)
Knowledge of social work practices, mental health conditions, behavior theories, and crisis response
Strong communication and cultural competency skills
Ability to work with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds
Experience developing IEP goals and participating in interdisciplinary teams
