Overview:

In-person 

Hemet, CA

7:15 AM - 2:45 PM, M-F

Covering long term assignments

Compensation $45.00 - $55.00 / hour

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Modify curriculum and adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
  • Provide direct instruction to small groups and individuals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to support each student's growth
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, accommodations, and behavior
  • Utilize assistive technology and other tools to enhance learning
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Stay updated on best practices through professional development




Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Education Specialist Moderate/Severe
  • Education Specialist Extensive Support Needs
  • Severely Handicap and Resource Specialist Certificate for Push-in/Pull out assignments
  • One (1) year of prior teaching experience in a school setting supporting students with an IEP.
  • One (1) year of case management experience
  • Active CA Special Education Teaching Credential
  • Valid Moderate to Severe Special Education Teaching Credential
  • In-Person Active CPR/BLS Certification
  • Experience with IEP development and differentiated instruction (preferred)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with special needs
