CSN (Credentialed School Nurse) or RN w/ Audio Certification

Urgently looking to hire a Credentialed School Nurse or Registered Nurse who has, a valid certification through the CTC.

Duties

• Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify potential health issues and provide recommendations for treatment.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, including vital signs and any treatments or medications administered.
• Develop and implement health education programs to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to identify and address health concerns that may impact student learning.
• Maintain a safe and healthy school environment, including ensuring compliance with state and federal health and safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers and emergency services to ensure prompt and appropriate care in the event of a medical emergency.

Qualifications

• Current Bachelor of Nursing (BSN)
• Willing to obtain Audiometry Certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and other school staff.
• Experience working in an inpatient or urgent care setting.
• Ability to assess patients and administer medications as needed.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Desirable Qualifications:

• Current Credentialed School Nurse License from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
• Experience working in a school setting or with children.
• Writing of IEP or care plan experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 – $65.00 per hour based on experience/qualifications
