RN – Full Time School Health | 1:1 Trach/Vent – Dallas, TX

Overview:

• Specialty: School Health, Pediatrics, Special Education
• Locations available include: Dallas, H.E.B, and the surrounding regions
• Positions Available:
  • Full Time (>30 hrs/week)
  • Part Time (<30 hrs/week)
  • Per Diem (1-2 days/week minimum)
• Shift: Approximately 7:45am-3:15pm (Hours Include Busing with Student)
• Days: Monday through Friday, no holidays, weekends, or nights
• Target Start Date: March 30, 2026

Responsibilities may include:

• Working 1:1 with a patient directly in the school with one or more of the following conditions (G-tube, trach, vent, catheter, diabetes, seizures)
• Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents
• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
• Potential need to frequently bend, crouch, and lift (up to 40 pounds)

Qualifications:

• Active, Texas Nursing License (Active Compact License Acceptable)
• CPR/BLS certification
• Current negative TB result

• Seizure Disorder education
• Diastat administration
• Insulin injections and pumps
• Diabetic Management
• Medication Administration
• G-tube feedings
• Tracheostomy Care
