Setting: 1:1 Student Support 

Schedule: Monday – Friday | Day Shift | No Weekends

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Job Overview

Make a meaningful impact by providing individualized medical care to students in a school setting. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) experienced in hands-on pediatric care to support students with specialized medical needs on a 1:1 basis.

This role is ideal for nurses comfortable managing complex care plans and performing skilled nursing interventions throughout the school day.

What You'll Do:

Provide direct 1:1 nursing care for students requiring:

• Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) care and feedings
• Tracheostomy (trach) care, including suctioning and airway management
• Urinary catheter care
• Seizure monitoring and intervention, including implementation of seizure precautions
• Diabetic management, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration

Additional responsibilities include:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and document vital signs and health status
• Respond to medical needs and emergencies as they arise
• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers

What You Need:

• Active RN license in Virginia (required)
• BLS and First Aid Certification (preferred)
• Pediatric or school nursing experience is a plus
• Strong communication and a warm, caring attitude
• Ability to adapt in a school setting
