RN Pediatric School Nurse (New Grads Welcome – Paid Training)

• Seizure disorder management, including Diastat administration

Position Overview:

• Location: South Contra Costa, CA and surrounding areas (Flexibility is essential)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (may vary); PRN to start
• Pay Rate: $41-45/hour
• Start Date: Immediate
• Type: In-person, per diem and full time

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes) in collaboration with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents
• Monitor and manage immunization records in compliance with state regulations
• Deliver first aid and emergency care
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
• Communicate with parents regarding health concerns and follow-up care
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Ability to frequently bend, crouch, and lift up to 40 lbs

Qualifications:

• Active CA State RN License
• BLS Certification
• Current negative TB test
• Confidence with trach and g tube care
